Meet Dale Aalbers

Dale’s family made Lloydminster home after moving across Western Canada, serving the oil and gas industry. Growing up, Dale learned the value of hard work, commitment, and supporting others through football, volunteering, and community involvement.

While in university, Dale completed a Bachelor of Arts degree and participated in study abroad trips to Europe and Southeast Asia. For several summers, he worked at Viterra in Lloydminster, serving the seed, fertilizer, and chemical needs of local farmers. He then studied at Sacred Heart Major Seminary, where he obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy degree.

After finishing his studies, Dale chose to pursue his lifelong passion for service and politics. He volunteered full-time with a conservative candidate in the 2019 federal election and then moved to Ottawa. On Parliament Hill, he worked with Members of Parliament, helping advocate for small businesses, energy, agriculture, human rights, and our fundamental freedoms. Dale was proud to stand up for Alberta and rural communities, pushing back against NDP and Liberal policies.

With the potential for another NDP government in Alberta, Dale was recruited to help strengthen conservatism and returned home. He created a United Conservative Caucus internship program to quickly train, equip, and support young Albertans to become the next generation of political staff. Dale managed ten interns for several months leading up to the provincial election and then served as a successful campaign manager for a re-elected UCP Cabinet Minister. Afterwards, he worked at the Legislature for the Minister of Infrastructure, gaining valuable experience while serving in government.

Dale welcomed the opportunity to return home to Lloydminster to raise his family and work in the constituency office of a local Member of Parliament. He enjoys serving with the Knights of Columbus, his church community, as a minor football referee, and with other volunteer groups. He and his young family are grateful to belong to such an involved and active community.
